Liza Mohd Noor


Liza is the Chief Executive Officer of RAM Rating Services Berhad. She joined the organisation as one of its pioneer analysts in 1991. Liza has extensive experience in the ratings of corporate bonds and sukuk as well as bank ratings, and had served in several senior management positions before becoming RAM Ratings’ Chief Executive Officer.
During the 1997/98 regional economic crisis, Liza had been seconded to the Corporate Debt-Restructuring Committee (or CDRC) – a unit of Bank Negara Malaysia – where she had been principally involved in sector-wide restructuring schemes and the reorganisation of government- and state-owned enterprises. Earlier in her career, Liza had had stints with a merchant bank, where she had been mainly engaged in corporate-advisory work pertaining to Government privatisation schemes, and an accounting firm, where she had been chiefly involved in corporate receivership and liquidation work.
Liza holds a Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Accounting, from the University of Adelaide, Australia. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance from International Islamic University Malaysia.

Jumaatun Azmi is the founder and Managing Director of KasehDia Sdn Bhd, a niche communication and consultancy firm focused on the application of
Islamic concepts.
Under Jumaatun’s leadership, the company has created world renowned events and publications and consulted the government on Halal matters. KasehDia Consultancy was involved in the drafting of the Halal Chapter of Malaysia’s 3rd Industrial Master Plan after being appointed as consultant by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry in 2006. It also developed the initial framework of the Halal Industry Development Corporation for the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Office.
Jumaatun is the Editor of The Halal Journal, a trade publication on the Halal industry currently distributed in over 35 countries. She also founded the award

Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Rohana Binti Tan Sri Datuk Haji Rozhan is our Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer. She is also the Chief Executive Officer of MBNS, our wholly-owned subsidiary, a position she held since 2006. Prior to being appointed as our Chief Executive Officer, she was the Group Chief Financial Officer of AAAN, where she was instrumental for AAAN’s listing on the then Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 2003.

Prior to joining our Group in 1995, she was with the Unilever group of companies from 1985 to 1995, both in the UK and Malaysia, where she held various positions including as the Head of Finance, Unilever Malaysia, where she gained substantial experience in financial and business management in fast-moving consumer goods operations.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Accounting and Economics from University of Kent, Canterbury, UK in 1985. She completed her Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK in 1996, and is currently a fellow member. She is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants since May 1997. She completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School, US in 2006 .

Pn. Khadijah Abdullah is currently the CEO of The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII). Her professional background renders her forte in Education and Training. She started in the academic line before moving on to the corporate sector. Prior to joining MII, she was Head of Group Organisational Development with a leading Banking Group in Malaysia where she led the setting up of the Banking Group Leadership Centre.
She is also the CEO of the ASEAN Insurance Training and Research Institute. She was the Vice President for Research and Publication on the Malaysian Financial Planning Council and currently sits on the Board of Trustees, MNRB Scholarship Fund and she sits on the Advisory Council of the International Centre for Leadership in Finance under Bank Negara Malaysia. At the international level, she represents the Institute in the Education Board of the Federation of Afro – Asian Insurers and Reinsurers covering 188 members across 23 countries in Africa and 28 countries in Asia.
She was a British Council scholar, Ministry of Education scholar, a Johor State scholar and also the South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization scholar. Her tertiary education began at the University of London and then went on to read her Masters at her same Alma Mater. Further she holds a Diploma in Applied Linguistics with the highly acclaimed distinction awarded by the Regional English Language Centre (RELC) in Singapore. She qualified in Education Evaluation from Ealing College of Higher Learning and Lecturing Skills from Sheffield University, both from United Kingdom.
As a student, she was elected as the student leader during her tenure while reading her Masters programme at the University of London as well as during her Diploma studies at RELC in Singapore.
She has vast experience working as a teacher, teacher trainer and university lecturer. She also served a term as State Education Assistant Director. Her experience goes beyond the borders of Malaysia as in her attachment to Christchurch College in Canterbury and also the University of Malta. She has also worked as the Quality Manager in a legal firm in London.

Below is the live blogging.Rejina graduated with LLB (Hons) from University of Kent at Canterbury, UK in 1995. She started by being Legal Office at Pengkelan Securities, Malaysia. She did her Barrister at Law, Lincoln’s Inn, UK in 1997.
 
She became Compliance Manager at Commerce-BT (now known as CIMB-Principal). From there, she became Head of Legal & Product Development, and then Head of Legal & Risk Management, as well as later on as Head of Institutional Marketing & Business Development. In 2006, she became the Managing Director of Nomura Asset Management Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
